Chemo Flush / Red Face

Chemo flush or red face is real especially if you have rosacea and of course I do. It usually happens to me the day after treatment or second day. My face feels like it is on fire, and it gets really red like a sunburn. Cheeks and chin are the worst. There are sometimes that it is on my neck and chest. I usually put a cool washcloth on my face, or the neoprene head wraps that I keep in the freezer. Also, this is why we have to hydrate and drink tons of water to flush the chemo out of our system.

Am I doing anything I am not supposed to be doing maybe, possible, sometimes, but not always. It has happened when I am just sitting in the chair or when I am walking and also when I am carrying things I shouldn't. So, it is going to happen, and I deal with it. But it is not fun, but it is a side effect and one of the ones that I have gotten.
