Emotional Toll Ongoing

I would love to say that once you hit rock bottom or so you think you have... another thing happens


I was once told that cancer is just a pause on life. Well, that isn't really true. It is a pause on what you can do in life. Life around you keeps going. Nothing really stops. It's just you cannot do the all the things that you usually do.


For example, you are so tired you miss your daughter's concert or are too nausea to go see your daughter get pinned at her Cap ceremony. Even going to the grocery store sometimes is a process an exhausting one at that.


Nothing is ever easy with the cancer treatments and nothing is ever predictable. Your symptoms are never truly the same after each treatment.

Not the end of the road

Even though I am done with chemo, had the mastectomy, done with radiation, I still have to recover and will have Keytruda till the end of the year and willl have reconstructive surgery in the spring.

 
 
 
Radiation- the emotional toll.

I wish I could tell you radiation is easy. To me it was the worst or maybe it was just because it was the last step in my process and emotionally I was done. The only appointment I went by myself this
