Phantom hair

I have always had long hair since I can remember. It has never been shorter than my shoulders. There have been many of times where I go to move my hair back and realize is not there.


It is kind of like when an amputee looses a limp and has that feeling that it is still there. There is no physical pain but there is emotional and mental pain of not having it.


Now that I have little stubs of hair on my head - when the wind blows - the hair follicles are more sensitive and it is a bit weird. Rain or the shower is the same thing. You feel it more intensely.

Not the end of the road

Even though I am done with chemo, had the mastectomy, done with radiation, I still have to recover and will have Keytruda till the end of the year and willl have reconstructive surgery in the spring.

 
 
 
Radiation- the emotional toll.

I wish I could tell you radiation is easy. To me it was the worst or maybe it was just because it was the last step in my process and emotionally I was done. The only appointment I went by myself this
