Phase 1 Complete - now on to phase 2

So my treatment plan has 4 phases - Phase 1 was the Taxol, Phase 2 is the Red Devil, Phase 3 is Surgery and Phase 4 is going to depend on the results of Phase 1-3.

Phase 1 was complete this past Monday. Although I am glad to have phase 1 behind me it is an adjustment. It's like you have to reset your mindset to the new norm. For 3 months I knew the routine, the side effects, what to expect and now that has changed again, and we are navigating the unknown.

I guess the good news is that I saw the surgeon on Tues and the chemo is doing its job and shrinking the tumors. But now we are getting on a different ride with different ups and downs and side effects and emotional challenges.

3 months in and to say it gets easier to say I have cancer - it's not. To say I am doing ok.... well on some days I am and some days I am not. I still have 3 phases to get through and none of those are going to be easy, but neither was this one. So here we go to Phase 2. Let's hope the outcome is as good as phase 1 and passes by as quickly.
